My mentor (Mahesh Ravi) has been such a valuable resource for me as a budding designer. The book compiles some of the greatest inspirations in the design world, making it really easy to explore different designers’ work. It's written in such a simple way that even beginners like me can understand it. It feels like an encyclopaedia of design, packed with everything I need to know about designers. I highly recommend it to any design student or anyone looking to learn more about the industry!
Lokendra (Design Student)
I just finished reading Mahesh Sir's book "Figures of Design," and it was a great experience. The book dives into some of the most influential figures in the Multimedia world and showcases their iconic work. It’s also pocket-friendly (unlike Logo Modernism, which weighs as much as a dumbbell—bad joke, I know). For anyone just getting started in design, this book can be a real game-changer. It helps you avoid the common mistakes of finding the right sources of information and presents everything in a way that’s clear and easy to follow. The layout is modern and easy on the eyes, making it a pleasant read. I enjoyed it, just as I expected from my Mentor. It would be cool to see more about upcoming modern designers like Brad Mead (though I know agencies might be a bit off-topic) in future editions. Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for quick inspiration.
